Becca Rae
Becca Rae Greene has gained the attention of media and fans across
the country, with her powerful voice and inspired lyrics. Her music
speaks directly to the heart, and her songwriting comes from life
experience that can only be described as well beyond her years. Whether it’s a bar in Georgia, a honky-tonk in Tennessee, or an amphitheatre in Alabama, Becca Rae performs with emotion and grace. She continues to actively pursue her music career through live shows, writing, and recording.
Her most impressive live performances include opening in concert
for the legendary Loretta Lynn, in May 2003, and country music
superstars Montgomery Gentry in August 2003. At the Montgomery
Gentry show, over 8,000 fans packed the Grand Stand at the Illinois
State Fair. She was recently featured on an episode of DirecTV’s “The Right Place with Kevin Sport”,
currently airing on national television. Becca Rae’s years of living in Nashville allowed her to perform at world-famous honky-tonks, such as “Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge”, “The Fiddle and Steel Guitar Bar”, “The BlueBird Café”, and many more. Becca Rae has built up
a strong, diverse fan base all over the country. Living in Columbus, Georgia, she was crowned the 2009 “Rivertown Showdown” winner, a competition
for Georgia and Alabama singer-songwriters. She performed nightly in downtown Columbus in packed bars and on outdoor stages. Becca Rae was even asked to showcase her original songs at the 2009 “Thunder on the Hooch” celebration, in Phenix City, Alabama, to a crowd of over 3,000 fans. Becca Rae easily adapts to any venue or crowd size. At an intimate coffee house in Seattle, you could find Becca
Rae telling stories and playing her original music to the locals. At
a rowdy bar in Tennessee, she takes over the stage with her
commanding presence and bold voice. Currently living in New Jersey, Becca Rae has traveled and performed for fans from every walk of life, and her music reaches new fans everyday through her
live shows and official website.
The release of her debut original album, “Strength”, in January 2008, marked a milestone in what promises to be an illustrious career for the young singer-songwriter. Becca Rae describes the album as "a collection of songs about the people I know, and the places I’ve been.” To celebrate the release of “Strength”, Becca Rae performed to a sold-out crowd in Lakewood, Washington.
On June 4th, 2011, Becca Rae released her highly anticipated
sophomore album, "Somewhere in Georgia". She describes the 13-song
collection as "an intimate, acoustic album designed to mimic the
live show experience. No fancy production, no bells and whistles,
just me and my guitar." Becca Rae, with her unforgettable voice and presence, is the future of country music.
